The only Scottish trilogy I know is Peter May's Lewis trilogy of which I just started the first book The Blackhouse. This sounds like a very different story and one I would like to read, I think. So it will go on the list you are so kindly making for me:)

Have read all of Peter May's Lewis trilogy also his China thrillers.
But this, I think, is A Scots Quair by Lewis Grassic Gibbon.
Love the spring daffodils!!!
Hasn't the light been wonderful the last few days!!!
