Is there anything more healing than the daily giftts we receive from nature, when we pause to really look? And thank you for the reference..i found the essay online and shall have a happy read....

How strange the mind works. Looking at your photographs and imagining the landscape behind your shadow blinds the south of France comes up, and summer, not Scotland in november. Fascinating.

That looks so pretty. We have some jasmine and clematis around our bedroom window. It's lovely to lie in bed in the morning and watch the wrens flitting about in the foliage. Makes it difficult to clean the windows. But who cares about such things when there's such joy to be had from watching the birds.

We had a wren under the bedroom window for a while which woke us at first light with it's remarkably loud song...I have enjoyed a browse of your lovely blog Karen. Thank you for commenting, and I do agree about windows!
