You can't have one without the other, a bit like happiness and sorrow..
Sunny days at last and I am deep in head work, heart work and the sheer hard physical work of the garden..
I hope you have some sunshine in your weekend!

Loving the lines and shadows of your photos and, of course, the sheer loveliness of a single tulip. Sunshine and warmth back here today, but most of my work will be indoor--usual cleaning, plus taking down some curtains to wash. Amazing how taking down even sheer curtains opens a room to so much more light.

I try to save those jobs for rainy days, but we get quite a lot of them!

Seemed so odd to have the sun today. Forgotten what it looked like. Also what it felt like to be gardening in a T-shirt..

Grateful for the sun but there's a perishing east wind blowing the buds off the magnolia.

Sad to see the buds go - after the long wait.

I'm enthusiastically cheering you on. Even the fun stuff like gardening reminds you of who's not with you anymore. Keep on going. You can do this

We gardened together all the time Gail. It helps to know you are cheering me on - thank you!

Your words and photographs are full of poetic beauty. Freda, have you every thought of exhibiting your photos? What a perfect diptych the tulip photos would make. Bright sunshine here in the Paris area!

I never have thought of exhibiting them Grace. I may print those two as a diptych - thank you for the idea. Glad you are getting sunshine!
