Susannah Conway also offers a guide to choosing a word for the coming year - that's next. Under consideration are Glad, Recovering, Adventure, Hope and Best.
Will you be choosing a word for 2021?
I am setting aside today to Unravel 2020 with Susannah Conway's help She has a free workbook to guide me in looking back in order to look forward....Treating it lightly. A very short freezing walk to the shore yesterday! I chose to see this wonderful clouod as a good omen - a giant bird of hope for 2021. Funny how we do that...

I’m considering “reimagine”. I almost feel like I need to reimagine everything now! But it also feels rather....vast...

That’s a very creative word. Last year seems ‘vast’ and so emotional I can barely find words for it...

I wish you all recklessness, in French insouciance, and confidence.

I thought of 'enjoy' i.e. really enjoying what I have and what is.

Enjoy has been somehow tainted with guilt this year. Definitely time to claim it back for the beautiful word it is.

Although I’m new to the concept of a year-word, it has a distinct appeal so I’m considering “better” as hope, goal and determination rolled into one. With the advantage that it is not an absolute but relative aim that can be applied to the majority of things. It might appear to lack ambition but it is scalable I think. I do like the other ideas here too. Perhaps I should go for a reimagined reckless kindness. That might be exciting.

‘Exciting’ itself is a great word...I am giving myself a couple more days to better consider...

I am thinking of 'exploration'. It could lead me down many paths ...
