Simply ..stylish....

Have you thought about your feelings regarding the clothes you have? It's a good place to start. (See yesterday's post.)

So, How do I want to feel when I look at my wardrobe?

Quietly pleased, maybe a little excited? Relaxed, knowing that I have something for every occasion, and that everything hanging there is ready to wear. That I can dress things up or down with accessories I love.

I'm happy to say I don't need to Kondo it - that was indeed a one off - I just need to tweak it a bit.

No big deal.

No angst.

Just pleasure. If I sound a bit smug, and maybe I am :-)  it's because I worked on this some time ago (engaged brain!) and it has really paid off.

Fashion is still my fun!

I like your mix of scarves/jewelry. Generally, I feel fine about what I have in my wardrobe. I can handle most occasions (outside of very dressy--which I wouldn't care for much anyway). A vast collection of scarves is the key to my wardrobe versatility. Not much on jewelry--earrings more than necklaces--but mostly because I have had to wear a work ID lanyard for so many decades...and nothing looks good when it gets tangled in that ugly thing (bright green--believe me, a colour not seen in nature).

I am quite fed up with everything I wear - but that's my own fault for wearing the same sets of clothes all the time! I really need one of these 'stern' gurus to come along and chuck half of it out and tell me about those magic few items that would pull the rest together nicely. People say they are thrilled with the results at the time - but do they end up missing some old favourites?
Between the garden, the cat and paint, I reckon what I wear will 'do', and when items get too bad, I'm sure there'll be something similar in the wardrobe! How sad is that??

I'm glad to say that my clothes have stayed Kondoed, it's just me that's changed! Ultimately I'd like everything in my wardrobe/chest of drawers to feel like the person I am now, and to feel inspired and enthusiastic about getting dressed in the morning - to have that 'can't wait to put it on' feeling!

A clear description of who you are now will help you on your way with this....
