Simply Stylish..and those zingy colours....

One of my favourite and easy looks is a neutral coloured T-shirt with a bright simple necklace and a big scarf.

This colour just makes me feel happy!

I bought this necklace of glassy beads from Anna King Jewellery at the St Nicholas Fair in York in December and have worn it often since. I'm ordering two in other colours - sea blue and a bright yellow as I know this is an accessory I won't ever tire of, and she is very kindly making them to the exact size I want ( a touch shorter than this one to sit just insided the neckline of the T-shirt)

What a lucky find!

This month's edition of The Economist's bi-monthly Intelligent Life has a good article about author Diana Athill's love of fashion.

I like the fact that she is 97 years young....

hi freda...fabulous necklace and scarf!...and what a wonderful way to welcome spring...just around the corner.
i am doing the same. i saw fantastic jacket yesterday, and on a whim, i bought it....something i rarely do...but i just knew that it would be perfect for me for years to come. i have learned from you to question what my style is; and to shop with that "eye". and i have also learned from that question that i would rather buy one beautiful piece and wear it all the time, than buy a bunch of things on sale and wear them only a little because i still need something to go with them!
i will look for the diana athill article...i enjoyed one of her memoirs so much.

I find it increasingly difficult to find a T-shirt with the neckline as you show here. They all seem low cut (is that the right expression?) these days. This is a lovely combination, it would make my day too.
I still have Diane Athill's Somewhere Towards The End waiting to be read.
