For a little insight into how I came to have February as my writing month see this post.

I only write my novel in Februaries (I know, really weird!) so if you are interested check out February from 2011 in the archive of the blog - scroll down the sidebar to Archive or depending on which device you are reading on scroll to end of posts.

To concentrate on the job at hand I will post simple short posts and may repost some from previous Februaries

I am doing 'Frugal February' along with Frugal Queen in France. It's a good chance to reset, use things up, remind ourselves not to waste (water, food, electricity, anything really).

This year I am also aiming to finish one home-related task each month as we seem to have been renovating for ever. In February it is to paint the front door which I undercoated, ummmm, about 12 months ago! I have a wonderful pot of charcoal black paint called 'aniseed'.

Great projects and when I remember your February will be sunny and warm I can see frugality being ok!

I make my birthday and Christmas cards in Feb(cold) and July (hot, humid). Gives me something to do when going outside is unpleasant. Of course, not as ambitious as your writing

I'm working on a fisherman knit sweater. with all those cables, it might be a Feb & March project.

Planning to have as restful a month as possible as I am having surgery on 10th. I think there will be a lot of reading (my 'to be read' pile is big enough to keep me going for the next three years and keeps growing ...), and perhaps a small knitting project.

If the weather continues as it has been for the last three days, mild, trying to get round all my borders...weeding. Not my best activity, but I feel driven to get rid of all those dandelion plants, ditto the daisies, the patches of couch grass & and all those other weed pests that I know so well, but cannot name.
