Brrrr .... You are brave, but I suspect you felt truly energized after a barefoot walk along that frosty path on such a crisp and sunny day. I also imagine you appreciated the warmth and cosiness of your home and the taste of good food all the more when you got back.

Looking at the photographs and imagining to walk the path barefoot made me shiver. I am applauding you and so would Wim Hof I am sure.

Beautiful photographs. The first frost of the season is a magical transformation isn't it! Very brave going barefoot, just the thought made me shiver! How did the new firebowl look with a dusting of frost ?

The firebowl had a lovely thin ice sheet on it which I tried to photograph but not successfully I'm afraid.

Freda, if you start walking over hot coals, i want to speak to you first! But this looks tremendous! I looked for your barefoot prints in the frost and was delighted to be able to see them..it’s fun doing something hard, but so worth it, isn’t it?

Hot coals? Never! It's funny but this is not hard for me. I like it. I just do it. The cold shower is harder. So worth it as you say!

while I'd like to join you on your walk before breakfast, I've got 2 pair of socks on just to keep my feet warm...no bare feet for me! now...let me go back & look for your footprints that Julia saw.

Well, as it happens, instead of putting the hammock away completley I have kept it to hand....we sometimes get spectacular Milky Way skies here,,,
