Absolutely! I adore your header photo Freda - the combination of your painting with the candles and white leaves looks wonderfully wintery, but warm and welcoming at the same time. I love that painting!
It's called Snowy Hill and (as you know) I hang it every winter.
I totally agree that each and every one of us is gifted in some way. It's all about finding the right environment, time and headspace to cultivate our gifts. The people around us are also so important in that process.
Helping each other in this endeavour must be one of the most worthwhile things we can do....
This is so profound, when you think about it, isn’t it, freda? I could write an epistle about it! How different, and yet gifted with unique talents and traits each of my children are, and their friends! And my grandchildren..so gifted, and uniquely so. Kondoing has taught me to “thank” my things for serving me. it helps me realize i already have everything i need...there is no “thing” that will make me happier this christmas. My friends came for brunch. We enjoyed 3 hours together...there was not need to exchange things. Just being together, laughter and love...and commiseration for all our individuual challenges. Gifted by their support and understanding. Ok..i just looked over at the flowers my friend brought..it you want to gift someone ...bring them flowers!....:-) (or chocolate!)
Something profound from a commercial enterprise (Urban Outfitter's window) is rather nice too don't you think? Reminds us that the commercial world is made up of humans too!
Love your thoughts on what really matters at Christmas Julia.
