All the foldable garden furniture is in the shed, I'I have lifted the pots off the porch, tucked the bins in close to the wall, I have emergency lights and a camping stove, baskets of logs, a flask to hand, lots of food...A glass of wine and half a packet of the new favourite biscuits have been consumed. A long hot bath and bed. Prepare for the worst and hope for the best they say.

We're in the midst of Eowyn now, no power (but a camping stove and as a last resort a generator, plus plenty of wine and chocolate); not so much rain, but strength and power of wind very frightening.

Hope all your preparations have worked for you, Freda, and there is no damage to your house. My fence is now firewood but still have power so won't moan too much. Take care.

Tree stone everywhere and the village cut off for a bit. No part until Monday evening. Minor dramas but all well. Hope no one had any serious damage. Sleeping on the sofa again tonight! Fire, candles, wine and chocolates, So I will be fine XX

It was some Storm! Some damage in the garden but I’m fine and the power is on again as from yesterday afternoon. X
