Simply..bear with me....

..as they say. The laptop is going into A&E and as you know that can take some time..

I am posting the most calming photo of the latest batch. I like the stillness, and the way the chalk mark on the wall echoes the bicycle wheel....little things to take my mind off my technology woes (the irony is not lost on me!).

I hope to be back soon - I am missing you. Perhaps you might like to browse the archives which by now are fairly extensive. I would never have imagined I had so much to say (or that so many people would want to read it!) Thank you for being here.

I'm missing you, too. At the same time, hoping that you're enjoying some relaxing 'blue sky time'.

Yes thank you Susan - literally! I lay on the beach this afternoon looking at blue sky and wonderful cloud formations.

A happy scene in a back street in York where I went for a few days.

Wonderful photo! Well spotted! Even the drainpipe echoes the lines of the columns reflected in the doors... It's one of those pictures that would lose its whole impact if any one element was removed.
I hope the laptop doesn't require too much surgery and recovery will be quick... :-)

Thank YOU for being there Freda! What a great photo - full of echoes. The chairs caught my eye first - reflections which are not actually reflections ...

I empathise with the technology problem - my pc has been in and out of the repair shop four times since the end of June. They finally seem to have pinned down the problem. Patience ... x

Mice tend to come into my cottage, when the weather turns and they're seeking some comfort. I wonder if yours is a field or house mouse. I find humane 'Trip-traps' quite good. (Mine declined regular peanut butter as bait, and would only eat Waitrose!)

``Same here Susan. Poor things. We tried humane traps but they just came back in so, much as I hate it, it's inhumane ones here. I even tried playing owl sounds to frighten it out but after five minutes it was back.

Maybe it was looking for a computer and keyboard... it had heard about your technology woes and come to offer its services... old school! Did you check it for a usb connection? :-)

Ha! I've made some progress with deleting cookies and refreshing browser and been stopped by the weather from getting to the repair shop....hobbling on Lotta.

When I see bricks like these I always wonder what stories they could tell.

A mouse under your bed... I see a children's story coming up there.

So nice to see you (and company) here again.

York must have the most amazing stories. It's children's mice stories that are making it such a difficult matter to deal with!. Good to be back even if stumbling along with the tech issues Cath.
