Simply..blue skies?

Two year old Daisy, who lives in Las Vegas, said 'There's something wrong with the sky. It's meant to be blue.'

We are having a most welcome run of cold sunny days with blue skies, bright sun and awe-inspiring starry, starry nights here. Fabulous.

Stunning little lemon trees with fragrant blossom and splendid lemons on sale at the supermarket. I wished I had somewhere suitable...

It brought back memories of Cyprus where we had an orange tree in our garden.

Seeing lemon trees always remind me of my first trip to Southern California back in 1970. During the first few days of my visit there was the general smog over the area that leaden everything, but one night it rained and the next morning the sun was shining brightly, the sky was a bright, bright blue and the air clean and crisp; lemon and orange groves sent waves of glorious scent across the region. It is a very fond memory.

Oh the scent is heavenly and I still get such a thrill if I see oranges or lemons for sale with the leaves still on!

Daisy would have felt reassured here this afternoon - gorgeous! And first few snowflakes this morning too. The smell of freshly picked citrus still warm from the sun... heavenly.
