Loving your blue period. My favorite colour.
Yay, Grace! Congratulations on reaching the top of Ben Nevis.
Thank you Mary! Stiff legs today, but I'm so happy to have made it to the top.
Congratulations Grace! Was it rough? How long did it take you? Are you a seasoned climber? I've only climbed the western slopes of Beinn Eighe and I found that extremely rough in going down.(ashamed to say I came a bit unprepared where climbing shoes are concerned...) ah being young and foolish....
Thank you so much Freda! I went up with a guide who was excellent. He had lots of stories to tell about his experiences on the mountain. He had seen a man climbing with a tumble drier on his back a few days before in aid of charity!
Blue has always been my favourite colour. I adore cornflowers.
Wow, well done Grace! ! I think it’s a wonderful thing to achieved ! I can’t imag why you didn’t strap a tumble drier to your back though! Pennyxx
I know my limits! : )
Love your blue breakfast !Are you still having breakfast in the garden ? We have had three days of drizzle and patchy heavier rain so my mood is blue, just a different shade to yours !
If the sun is shining, yes, but it's very changeable now - so I must make the most of it.
Another grateful cornflower lover over here!
another cornflower lover here in western PA, but we call them bachelor buttons. love them!
i'm picturing eggs as your breakfast, mainly because I love blue/yellow combinations.
I always have an egg for breakfast!
Well done, Grace.
To answer Cath's question, I love walking in the countryside, but haven't climbed hills since I was in my late 20s (59 now!). I found the ascent fine, but coming down was tough on the old legs. It took me about 4h 15 each way.
Oh, Grace to me Ben Nevis is a real mountain!
Your successful climb is even more impressive knowing you did not do climbing training as preparation.
I think that that shade of blue must be the most beautiful of all! Your photo ie gorgeous..and am thinking back to the last time i did a serious hike..yes, going down is much harder! Good on you, Grace.
It is a heartlifting blue Julia.
