Simply..calling to the wind....

and hoping you are all still there.

Comments are back! Yay!

I have been known to be desperate for sunshine and now I am seeking respite from it.

I thought I'd take a look at the shady parts of my garden (really only the storage space at the back of the shed during the day) but there are lots of little areas of dappled shade which look delicious in this heatwave we are having, and half way down the path to the shore my little seat was cool and shady for a read in the afternoon...

Hoping you too are having some sunshine and finding shade when you need it.

And if you have the patience to comment on previous posts I'd be most interested and glad to hear from you!

Your garden is looking lovely and I agree with you entirely about sitting under a tree in the dappled shade. There is nothing as pleasant. Our prolonged spell of hot, sunny weather made me wonder if it balanced out the long cold, miserable start to the year. Do I actually prefer the usual changeable ( maybe four seasons in one day) weather we have? Lovely to be able to chat again.

It is lovely Sheena. Although the weather is wonderful it's not gardening weather! Not complaining mind you, but dividing and moving and planting needs cooler conditions and moisture - I am wilting and so are some plants! Thanks for commenting.

As usual, I envy your landscape! You may be having a heatwave, but we are having a cloudwave. Dreary, cloudy, humid days since Sunday when we had torrential rains in the evening which, for a time, flooded part of our back yard. More rain and clouds still to come. Fairly depressing, so nice to see photos of your sunny garden. Can just picture you sitting in your chair, reading and sipping on the cool drink. Ahh. Lovely.

We are so affected by the weather are we not? Especially if we live in the country. I hope you get some better conditions soon Mary.

Wierdly, in my part of West Wales we have not seen a drop of rain, despite the weather map forecasting downpours. I expect it will be our turn next. Glad to see you back!

Glad to be back Linda! We were forexast rain this evening - there has been a very strange light, but no rain yet...(I was hoping it would water the garden.)

It all looks beautiful Freda, but I hope you get the rain you need for the garden too. Is the hop surviving? Wouldn't it be wonderful if the weather was like that for Open Day...

Freda, i hope you are enjoying the new, more, casual look of your gardens as much as i am! Looking for dappled shade here too! We had our 2 yr old grandson here and he was reduced to playing with his cars in the birdbath, just to find shade and some moisture!
