Simply..crises....

I quite simply haven't known how to write (or whether to write) about the family crises which have occurred this year.

Partly for reasons of privacy and partly because I don't have, and don't really wamt, a categorty called Simply Crises!! Writing his blog has been somthing of an antidote.

A worsening of my eye condition, an unexpected divorece, a fraught house purchase, 999 calls and emergency hospital admissions, the putting down of a beloved family pet, a cancer diagnosis (mine. I am okay now) - it's only as most of these are somewhat resolved that I feel I can write about them now.

Whew!

What a perfect storm of a year for you, Freda. So sorry to hear of all the crises, but pleased that the blog has been an antidote with virtual love and support beaming its way to you.
I echo what Susan said, please ask for the Lymes blood test and other antibiotics if required.

Oh, Freda—you’ve been my antidote for anxiety for years and years. I look for your post first thing when I sit down at my tablet. Things here in the US are nerve wracking, and I look to you for calmness and sanity. And beauty. I expect people all over the world who never met you love you. Accept any help you’re offered!

I would like to echo much of what Diane says. And I count myself lucky enough to know you.
I have just discovered there is a rooftop terrace at the Willow tea room on Sauchihall Street. Perhaps when you feel up to it it would be an enjoyable outing (although you will need to wrap up warm! We're already into September)
Sending you love and hugs Freda

We have been friends for a very long time, haven’t we? I think you came to my first patchwork clas in s. Hoping to see you before long and definitely want to try that roof terrace, if it stops raining long enough.

I'm so sorry to hear that you've been having to deal with all of this, Freda, all occurring at the same time, over the last few months.
It's too much.
I hope that you can tread water gently (or even better, float gently) for a while, and catch your breath, now that some action has been started towards resolving the various events.
Wishing you some restorative coastal walks, transporting classical music, and restful sleep.

Oh my goodness. That’s a lot. Your marvellous mindset will be so helpful to you and your loved ones. Hope you soon move into quieter waters. My yoga teacher has a great mantra: trust the magic of new beginnings.

As usual I have done a bulk reading so have only just caught up with this post. I’m so sorry that you have been through the mill personally and as a family member this year but very glad that life seems to be a bit less fraught. I love your calm and peaceful blog and am as happy that it brings you joy, even in difficult times.
