Isn't it lovely when the main news of the day is love and happiness? I hadn't planned to celebrate, but at the last minute I made a few cakes looked out a pretty cloth and that gorgeous tea set I found in the charity shop made some tea and sat down and watched the whole thing. Dazzled by the smiles, the dress, the flowers- loved the flowers, the sunshine and the sheer happiness and exuberance of the whole event. Did you watch?
I hope they will have a long and happy marriage.

so my third grade teacher was wrong when I said I wanted to be a princess when I grew up & she told me princes don't marry commoners.

How wrong she was! The dress was perfection.

I just managed to catch the start of the ceremony, but will try to see it all at some point. The dress was simplicity at its most beautiful. I join you in wishing them all the happiness in the world!

i watched it all and loved it! there were many nods to today's world in the ceremony that made it really special, i thought...now being in north america...it was very early, and i was up making yogurt, not cakes..but all the same...a wonderful event! and what a perfectly beautiful day for a celebration too!

My 3 year old American grandson watched the wedding on television with his mom (he's always an early riser). He said he wanted to see the Queen and when he saw her riding in the car with Prince Philip, asked, "Is she with her Pop Pop?" (...his name for his great-grandfather). But when Meghan step out of the car, my daughter texted me that his mouth dropped open and he said, "Ohhh, she's beautiful." Dazzling indeed.
