At least it does for me.
So useful, especially at this time of year.
The freedom of being able to take it or leave it is amazing to me.
Yay!
..that a few drops of grapefruit seed extract in water two or three times a day takes away cravings for sugar?

That sound great. But ... check out any meds. that you're taking (the generic drug name, not the marketed brand name) against this list, since grapefruit can increase the concentration of some drugs in the blood stream, and so make their effect unpredictable in the body:

Thanks Susan! I should perhaps have added that I only need to take it for one day every few weeks - the effect is very long lasting especially if I just stay off sugar which is easy to do with this method. I can only say it works well for me.

Apparently it also helps to boost the immune system. My son often gets throat infections and and pharmacist recommended taking grapefruit seed extract.

This will be useful as I have just made my annual batch of fudge and for the first time blenched at the amount of sugar I was measuring out. Not to mention the golden syrup and sweetened condensed milk. However this does not usually stop me from eating any I don't give away.

Where do you get it? Not the same as essential oil, presumably?!
