I found myself starting the day, and the year, with 30 minutes of yoga on a site I chanced upon and bookmarked ages ago.

The name of this first class is Ease Into It.

I like Adriene's chat. She says things like -

Keep it playful.
Make it your own here.
To each his own.
Maybe try..
Drop into this moment for yourself.
A nice experience that feels good.
Be honest with yourself.

All rather good ways to start a yoga session, and to start a new year I thought.

May 2017 bring you good things!

Will have to check this out in a few days. The last week of 2016 kicked me out with a very ugly norovirus...a fitting end to the year. Not yet back up to eating so weak as a kitten after 5 days, but at least the sound of "easy does it" sounds doable. On the mend, however, so thankful for that.

Looking forward to your word...have not even thought about one yet.

Oh so many people have been ill - my own new year plans were cancelled because my friend was ill. Like you she is on the mend thankfully. Rest, rest rest..until you are truly rested and restored to health.

Maybe I should write these words on a piece of paper and hang them where I can often see them.
Last December we decided to buy our apartment and now we are preparing renovation/redecoration, making our apartment age compatible too, (is that the right expression?).
This morning I have started packing my books for they will go into storage for four to five months. Decided on a small selection to tide me over the busy times ahead.
At times I panick, after all the work needs to be done while we live here, then I make myself think of the prospect of being able to do some serious simplifying again.
'Easy does it' sounds just fine...

Sounds like an intentional, meaningful way to start the year, and Adriane is so sweet! I've done some of her YouTube classes as well (really should do it again...)
