I was enchanted today as I walked the shore path and a gust of wind released a sky full of leaves from the trees - it was like a snow storm and made me laugh out loud. (And then cry because Barry wasn't there to share my delight. It gets you unexpectedly like that as many of you will know!)
I adore a flurry of snow, and a fluttering of blossom on a spring breeze can be utterly charming. As is the scattering of confetti at a wedding, or of rose petals onto a table when a flower drops suddenly. When we were working on this house which was filthy and neglected when we got it, my sister gave me a gift of confetti-like soap leaves and to sprinkle them into a deep bath of hot water at the end of a mucky day's work was such a pretty thing in the horrible old bathroom it still makes me smile to think of it.
Tiny lights have a similar effect on me and it will soon be time to get those out....
What kind of images does Ravel's Jeux D'eau conjure up for you?
