Simply..glam?....

I don't think glamour is really my style (!) but I was inspired by this theatrical and glamorous site  to make a really big flower arrangement.

(The fuchsia 'Hawkshead' began as a small pot plant on the balcony of our previous house and is now 7 feet high by 10 feet wide.)

Nice, but it just needed....

the one and only really big flower in the garden right now!

Can you find material to make a bigger than usual arrangement? This one is nearly 3 feet (90cms) tall. Perhaps in the countryside, or a friend's garden, if you don't have one? I have been known to ask for leftovers on the pavement outside a florists - they were happy for me to take some away (it was foliage) and it lasted several days.

It's fun to try something different...

Inluv arrangement when mainly green, but the big busted flower just adds a sexy zippity-do-da.

That is magnificent and now a white fuchsia is on my wishlist.
The only giant arrangements I ever make are of the cow parsley choppings when it blocks my way down the path!

A gorgeous arrangement. Your artist's eye certainly knows how to capture all the elements in harmony and yet take that one step extra to make it something special. Brava!

LOVE yourdramatic arrangement Freda...and those on the link too....for several years, i joined friends and toured the gardens in two or three Virginia cites for historic garden week. For me, the huge dramatic floral arrangements in the grand old homes were the most memorable part...:-) your reminds me of those marvelous tours....
