Oh dear...you have cut down one of your own trees????
How brave of you, freda! This reminds me of my grandmother...as she got into her 70’s she would plant an evergreen in her yard for every friend who died..about 10 years later, we’d come for christmas and she would say something like this: “mrs smith is in the living room.”...and one by one, all her trees came down, until she was 94 and could not cut them down herself anymore!

That looks a lovely tree - a manageable size. It reminds me of two trees that had been planted in our garden years ago, probably ex-Christmas trees, and allowed to grow way, way too big! They were so close to the house that every time we had a strong wind I was scared they would topple. Getting them cut down was the first thing we spent money on here!

We have bought another rooted tree this year - we then plant them at the cottage - will have a little forest soon!

The only trees on our land that look remotely like a Christmas tree are more than 60 feet (18+ meters) high. A tad too large for the living room.
