I've treated myself to two large ultra-soft towels

and a room spray that smells of fir tree...

turning my simple bathroom into a luxury spa retreat

with the aid of a few candles...

A single rose and some pine branches brought in earlier (put some tissue on the cut ends!)

What could be nicer on a snowy night?

Now that looks like a great way to spend an evening. We are also supposed to get snow tonight and tomorrow -- 4 to 8 inches. And it wasn't even in the forecast until this morning. My evening won't be quite so relaxing. Waiting for my 3 year old grandson to come over. He will be spending the night, so I have gathered up his favorite books and bought a few new ones to read. Let's hope they keep him entertained before he falls asleep.

The UK would come to a standstill with 4 - 8 inches of snow. We make a great fuss over 1 inch! Reading to a three year old - such joy.

That looks so relaxing. I have just bought some eucalyptus branches and they are smelling very Christmassy. Never thought to do that before, having associated the smell with cough medicine!
