..if you will, a tiny blue tit hanging on, upside down and by one leg to the last flower at the tip of this branch. I saw a photograph of just that on an RSPB site and wanted to use the photograph on the blog, but could not find it again. It seemed to represent how some of us are feeling, and it made ne smile.

If the blue tit can do it, so can I!

Yes, it's been a long road, Freda. And, still more trudging on, to do.
(A tiny glimpse for me, into daily feelings of many peoples worldwide, pre pandemic. UNICEF has a COVAX-distribution donations page. I'm giving donations presents this year, to chums for birthdays: a hopeful thing.)

Wendell Berry's poem "The Peace of Wild Things" seems pertinent today...

"When despair for the world grows in me
and I wake in the night at the least sound
in fear of what my life and my children's lives may be,
I go and lie down where the wood drake
rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds.
I come into the peace of wild things
who do not tax their lives with forethought

That is beautiful Mary. Thank you. I took a walk Dow to Coronation Wood to see the primroses after I read it.
