In tomorrow's post we we'll call in at Carry Farm.
Come with me on a day trip around Argyll's Secret Coast. First stop is the viewpoint over the Kyles of Bute. Then a stop at in Tighnabruaich Gallery. Paintings, ceramics, jewellery in a frequently chaning exhibition. Bright, friendly and a great place to find a special present. I've shown work there over many years and several different owners. Ros, the currrent owner was given one of my paintings by her parents for her 21st birthday. We both lived in Yoek at the time but didn't know each other then. See the online shop for a good range of originalceramics. Lunch at the stylish restaurant at Portavadie Marina was delicious Freshest fish ! Are you getting out and about again? And having friends to stay? It is wonderful.
In tomorrow's post we we'll call in at Carry Farm.

I remember going to Tighnabruaich with my parents as a child. Haven't been back since. Maybe this summer ...

Lovely country! I get up when I can. There is something about the air moving through you that feels unlike anywhere else I've ever been.

Very fresh and breezy much of the time. I am wondering which part of Scotland you know.

I lived in Scotland for 18ish years Freda so have been lucky enough to see quite a lot of it. We lived north of Glasgow in the foot-slopes of the Campsies and I also spent a couple of years living in rural Ayrshire. I still think of Alba as as much my home as anywhere.

I lived over the Campsies in Stirlingshire for a while, ina cottage on a moor which I really loved. Our paths may well have crossed Gwendoline!

Lovely picture of the weathered planks at the marina! Also, I didn't realise you were painting when you lived in York! I thought you were mainly making textiles at that stage in your life

I was teaching art and making textiles, but I had my first exhibition at Beninhbrough in 1997.
