I wonder how many letters that pillar box sees these days.

Seems you have been walking in beach sand, whereas I am walking in some desert sand (Utah national parks). Funnily enough, my husband has been taking photos of footprints the sand, too. We hiked to a place (Devil's Garden, no less, in Arches NP) where the sand was so fine, you could read the name of shoemakers from the soles of everyone's shoes as sharp as if they were written on paper. Guess one can hardly get away from advertising these days. Fortunately, the scenery is absolutely stupendous. An enticing diversion.

I was walking the beach at Lake Erie the past 2 days & looking at our footprints, too. Our shoes don't have such interesting designs, tho. Love your sister's flower shop. Those are definitely flowers I'd carry with me from room to room!

Funny to think of us all making footprints around the world.

No bare footprints in October though I notice! I'm always tempted to paddle... :-)

No one was in the water - apart from the odd dog!

The paddling became full-blown soaked clothes and then swimming on our Brittany coast last week a couple of times, at least 24°C and no chilly wind, it was a perfect autumn holiday for the grandchildren (the wind obligingly increased the next day to its usual volume, allowing for kite-flying...!). Not so many footprints in the sand, as there were so few people :)

Sounds like a great holiday Swissrose and I'm fascinated that there is a job designing soles of shoes!
