It all began around 2010 when a little seed germinated in the top of an old fence post... Somehow it survived and eventually put down a root which reached the soil, since when it has grown more rapidly... and now makes this year's Christmas tree! The little 'crystal' ornaments are actually quite sparkly (will try to get a better photograph tomorrow...).

When we went to our usual place to buy a tree they were sold out, so this substituted nicely!

When i saw this one, my heart just lifted! And i thought of the quote: he who plants a tree, plants hope...in this case...that little seedling sure did have some gumption and hope!!..strong roots by now, i presume also..what an extraordinary christmas tree, freda...you will never forget it..and i do hope you will share a photo of how it looks at night too..:-) merry christmas to all who visit here!
