Simply..nearing the end....

..of a very strange year, and I don't know how I want to end it here on the blog. What I do know is that I want it to end!
I've never felt like that before.

I am thinking about my word for next year. My word for this year was stronger.

Sometimes just getting up and carrying on is brave and magnificent.

I love these words by Charlie Mackesy.

Good morning, Freda. Just wanted to say Good morning to you.
(Finding it a bit of an endurance course, to complete the year, but just putting one foot in front of the other, and plodding expectantly.)

It has been a very long year Susan. We have endured! Nearly there...together.

It has been a very strange year for me with my time perception fluctuating wildly but, hopefully, next year we will see the beginning of the end. Until then it is a case of keeping on keeping on.
I came across this wee poem which is the Leith fisherman's prayer and inserted to capture the mood.
So with the darkest days behind
Our ship of hope will steer
And when in doubt
Just keep in mind
Our motto
Persevere.

Persevere seems like a very good word.

The “world” fell apart (covd, civil disobedience and riots, politicians not complying w covd rules, etc) but my personal life went well and numerous people were generous to my cat rescue.
Praying for continued good news about your eyes

I am also looking forward to the end of this strange but, as Gail has stated too, not all bad year. It’s helped me make decisions about my future based on lockdown life and limits. Roll on 2021 . Wishing good health and happiness to all who read this wonderful blog .... especially you Freda.
