Simply..nearly missed....

..the thirteenth anniversary of my blog! (See first post here.)

I can hardly believe I have been wittering on for thirteen years, and no doubt repeating myslef. Since the loss of ny central vision my posts are shorter as it makes me very slow (and I am not very patient) and I know I make many mistakes. I am however awarding myself a gold star for trying!

And to those of you who have become my treasured readers and blog friends I award triple gold stars.

My head is full of ideas about what to say on this occasion but prthaps it is best to keep it simple and just say a heartfelt
THANK YOU.

That is a pretty remarkable record - all that beauty, thought and inspiration you give us so consistently, as well as an insight into your beautiful home (let's stand up and praise the quirky, very special and lovely Swedish Houses; I SO miss mine, especially in winter!) and your spectacular surroundings. Oh we thank YOU, Freda! Such a blessing you have been in my life and I know all of your other followers, too. I think it would be interesting to hear how each of us have come to follow you. I found you when I was reading everything I could get my hands on in 2016 about living a simpler life. I was elated to find you and have enjoyed it so very much. Your painting and photography and gardening and traveling and going thru Covid with you, not to mention the grief of losing your husband.
Life’s events shared bond us all. After checking the weather and my calendar your blog is the first thing I read every single morning. Thank you so very much, Freda.

And I wish we could all meet in your back yard for a Tea Party and some of those scrumptious pastries you make. Your photograph is wonderful. I sometimes take a photo of your photo so I run across it now and then and enjoy it over and over!

You are simply a superb example of resilience, consistency and inspiration.
You’d be surprised how often you are referred to around here, along with a dwindling number of long time bloggers who have become woven mysteriously into our lives and who would be sorely missed if the day came when the last post was announced.
