Simply....one of those days..

Today - my computer was hacked, I had an emergency visit to the doctor (not too serious!) and my car broke down.

Poor me!

It does rather makes me wish I was back here..

Relaxing, watching the seals relaxing.
And the otters, buzzards, lapwings, stonechats, rabbits..

I may take a little blog break till I get sorted!

Oh no! They do say bad things come in three's. Hope you get everything sorted and are feeling ok now. At the weekend I'm off to the N.Norfolk coast for a week (lucky me) - don't want you to think you have been abandoned on top of everything else - hah!

Poor you! But I bet you'll handle everything philosophically, see it all in perspective, and be back on a more even keel in no time.

We have an expression for 'one of these days' which would roughly translated mean 'a day with a hole in it'. That made me think one Basho would perfectly fit into that. So here is for you:

A strange flower
for birds and butterflies
the autumn sky

basho

Thank you Cath. I was going to say that Basho haiku are always so calming - then I found this one and see that even Basho had days 'with holes in them'.

Eaten alive by lice and fleas
now the horse
beside my pillow pees

Tomorrow was better thank you Sarah. I got a good haircut - isn't it ridiculous what a difference that makes?

I'm sorry to have notified you of one of them. I have come to see that a bad day is ok - as long as it ends. Forgive yourself for feeling a little tender. I do hope you are ok my friend. I realised recently that even when I'm sobbing because of a hard challenge, I'm still thinking of things I'm grateful for. Is that weird to feel them both at the same time?! Relish your regrouping time, my friend. Cheering you on for the self-love. x

With friends like this, how can I fail to feel better! 'Regrouping time' is an excellent phrase and I think it says such a lot about you Lucent, that you can still think of reasons to be grateful in the midst of difficulties - it seems you are good at balancing and finding your centre. I am cheering you on too and hope you are well.

I would have been sorely tempted to call that post Simply. . . hacked off.
That you didn't, shows you to be made of sterner stuff. I hope all of these problems are soon a distant memory.

No, I think it shows I'm not as witty as you and that I (temporarily) lost my sense of humour!!

hi freda, i hope that by the time this reaches you, you are laughing again and that life feels less challenging...the comments above have certainly brightened MY day! how absolutely awful to have computer problems of any kind, much less getting hacked..i imagine it feels like a violation! take a deep breath and look around you for something simple a beautiful that you love...and then focus on that pleasure for a moment, while you gather your strength....love to you,,,j

My email account was hacked a few months ago, such a pain to sort out but our telephone company managed to clear everything within a few days. I did lose a few things in the process though; hope you get it sorted without causing too much trouble.

I'm getting there Jay, but haven't retrieved my contact list yet....it leaves a bad taste in the mouth, someone trying to extort money in your name. Thanks for commenting.
