Simply..Open Studios....

It is Cowal Open Studios weekend and I visited Jackie Stevenson in her new studio in the village and bought some of her gorgeous cards.

There are five artists showing in my village alone, and 52 over Cowal - a lovely buzz from the many friendly talented people who are taking part. (I was a founder member but am not participating this year....maybe next year - it's a really nice thing to be part of.)

If you are near enough I urge you to make the trip, if not have a lovely online browse..

So glad you were able to make it to Jackie Stevenson's studio (love her work I saw online). A couple of weeks ago I spoke with the lovely lady at The Cedars and she asked me if you were exhibiting at Cowal this year. Now I know to what she was referring. Thought you probably weren't given your own exhibition in a few weeks time. Just had an online browse--wonderful talent.

What a treat ! I might be on bedrest and chemo but today have had the pleasure of visiting open studios. Such talent and variety. Thank you Freda.

When you see the landscape, it's no wonder there are so many creative people working in it. I would love to visit these studios. An excellent excuse for a wee road trip next September ...

Sorry to have missed this - I remember coming to the Open Studios was it 3 years ago? I see the lovely little hand thrown pot I bought from the studio on the Marina every day in my kitchen. Hope the crafters and artists have enjoyed a good turnout. Hopefully we might get to make it to your exhibition in October Freda.

I have to find out when my sister is away because I cover for her with my mum. I think it is in November so we should be OK to come but will let you know definitely when I can. Presuming petrol crisis is over by then too.
