I pass this gem on the way to the supermarket.

The architecture here is astonishing as you know. Much of it influenced by Palladio by whom I am currently fascinated.

Have any of you seen the film Palladio? All I can find are a few very tantalising trailers.

While looking for the film I found this wonderful piece of music.

I hope you enjoy as much as I did.

Good morning, Freda and Heather.
I love Georgian architecture (and all Georgian design, in particular garments), which I think, derives from Palladian principles.
I find the proportions feel entirely right to me.
There are several Georgian mansions scattered about the hilltops of Dorset, Somerset & Wiltshire, many with walled gardens: another passion of mine.

You have so many to choose from. I've been to Stourhead which I loved and visit walled gardens whenever I can. What a wonderful heritage we have.

Both wonderful wonderful videos! Thank you Freda...we are all finding new ways to enrich our lives during this unbelievable time....
I begin a 3 day home retreat in yoga and meditation tomorrow, with a teacher online, who i have always hoped to study under...now i have the chance!..right from my home..:-)

Yes, it's wonderful: he's worked with prisoners and homeless people, and reflected their humanity back to them.

Rosemary, i must tell you that i recognized the author instantly...11 yrs ago, when our grandson was 3, we were in a tiny library in a hamlet in rural ontario...he pulled a book off the shelf by this man, called “the most beautiful house in the world”. And said to me: this looks like a good book, grandma.. i read it and indeed it was so good! And you have reminded me that i always intended to read more by the author!
