Simply..romantic?

Well, it would be romantic if you could sit out in it but the midges made that impossible last night - but it was romantic to look at!

There are midges, there are tics, there are horseflies, there is weather. Our glorious sunshine is forecast to end in 50 - 60mph gales and heavy rain - just in time for Open Days Let's hope they are wrong again. It has been known. I am trying to be philosophical but I just might cry if it all gets bashed to the ground.

Oh I hope it will hold off until after the weekend... I'm picturing a virtual shield over your garden protecting it from everything but a little bit of light rain to keep everything fresh!

i know we're not allowed to swear on your blog..but i will be awfully tempted here at my end if you get the weather that is forecast!!! that would be just so frustrating, Freda...i truly hope that somehow the weather will turn!

If the storm comes as promised it should be over by the weekend, and plants soon pick up. Garden visitors will still be impressed - they'll be comparing your lovely garden to their own storm battered plots which had not been in such good nick to start with!

We depend on numbers of visitors to raise the money for the charities so can only hope they still come...

I'm on tenterhooks for you. I saw a window box and ornamental flowering shrubs covered with fleece to protect them from a hail storm recently. Is there anything you can do like that for vulnerable plants?

Sadly there's not a lot I can do against strom Hector! It's pretty fierce. Trying to smile and keep it in perspective. :-)
