Hanging on in the teeth of a gale..

Oops! Nearly!

Then the snow began.

No icy blast shifted him..he was set on eating his fill.

We could not even get out of the village this morning!

Trees had come down on the road.

We watched a sparrowhawk sitting on our bench, and this little red squirrel feasting on the nuts for 10 or 15 minutes - hopefully he is now tucked up warm and safe with his very full tum..

I hope you are all warm and safe too ( with a very full tum..)

Determined little varmints aren't they - so lovely to see red squirrels in your garden. I heard on the weather that your area was going to have a hard time - the winds here were shocking and we lost the electricity for a couple of hours last night. Take care and keep warm too.

All is well thanks. We laughed at the squirrel's antics from indoors (not being as hardy as it is!) I see you have wonderful wildlife in your garden too.

Oh dear so you didn't get to see your friend. Amazing pictures of the squirrel the weather wasn't putting him off at all. Hope the weather improves for you over the weekend.

They are certainly creatures that don't give up easily! We are just back from Scotland we had a day of gales last week but luckily no trees down. I am sorry we couldn't make it to your exhibition we ran out of time to get to the ferry as it took longer than we thought going to the 3 roofing merchants near Glasgow. If you have a studio we will certainly come across in the summer.

I do wonder where he sleeps and think of him sometimes when the moon is out and the owl hoots..
