 When you find  the perfect notebook  buy five! It's better than going back for more and finding they are discontinued. Other things I stock up on - The right colour of tights Pens the right thickness (how I wish I'd bought five -or ten - when in Stockholm - it is ridiculous to love a pen so much!) Tealights when they are on special offer What do you stock up on?

Mainly things 'paper', stationery, notebooks - mine are the sixty leaf variety and I use approximately five or six each year as I have them as a diary, and of course every year needs its own design... Also postcards and favourite pencils. And just looking at it all can make me happy.

I hope you got them.. Oh aren't those pretty! I think I may not have resisted these, either… Although I don't tend to stock up on boring things because we don't have much room, I do buy postcards that catch my eye whenever I'm in a museum or gallery or as a small souvenir. And I recently wondered, as I sorted, why I had so many pens and pencils! Perhaps you're helping me identify something here - I used to adore wandering through the "papeterie" for hours as a child… ;) (And I've just remembered the crafting paper I have recently bought to play with!)

Me too! Paperchase is just too tempting. When you next get to London there is the most wonderful shop in Covent Garden which sells wonderful paper it's called something like the Paperie I first encountered it in Florence and bought some notelets which I cherish!

As a child my father's favourite shop was a stationers in Cambridge. So while Mum went to Robert Sayles Dad would always stock up on the pens, pencils etc etc. so I think it's in the genes!! Leave a Reply. |
