Does your joylist include these things?
The joy of growing things figures high on my joylist, and the joy of friends who send such lovely cards. Picking flowers for the house never fails to give me a thrill. ..as does a greenhouse full of plants and seedlings! The joy of being trusted by a wild creature (though there was sorrow when our little robin died, and we miss him still). Solar lights in June. The joy of still having a little romance in our souls! ..and of flowers flowers flowers. And family, and laughter. and eating out of doors, I love eating out of doors.
Does your joylist include these things?

Our joy list includes all of that for sure, freda...but what you teach me, is that i should record it all in some meaningful way, to look back on. There is a book called "ten breaths to happiness"...and he explains that if each time we exerienced joy, or happiness, we just paused for ten breaths and really allowed ourselves to FEEL all that happiness, we would more exquisitely understand how much ahppiness we do have in our lives....your blog and your year-end review is way of doing that...keep on!

It is the acknowledgement more than the recording of it I think that makes the difference - whether it is by taking ten breaths to feel it, or taking photographs or blogging or journaling which do have the added joy of sort of repeating the experiences..We are so lucky!..

Definitely eating outdoors. This summer in the company of buzzing busy bees, now that there are hives on top of our apartment building. They gifted us with honey, to be savoured in very tiny spoonful's. Is it the campanula I taste?

Isn't it lovely to remember the flowers and the warm sunshine as the latest storm howls outside!

Eating outside has to be the biggest joy of summer. If nothing else it forces me to sit still for a while and admire the results of all my hard work!

I am very good at sitting still in the garden - looking. It's funny how food tastes better isn't it?
