....and 23 degrees in beautiful Yorkshire!

Relaxing time with friends, gardens, cottages and castles, coffee and cakes and time in nature with clouds of blackthorn blossom and star spangled woodland - I've never seen as many wild anemones as around the lovely town of Richmond.

Oh, I miss a greengrocers. So much more fun to go to than a supermarket and the food tastes better, too. Wonderful photos. Looks like a great break for you, especially with the warm weather. Enjoy!

Was sunny and 30C when I left work in DC yesterday. It was sunny at at home, too, (by the Chesapeake Bay), but the temp was only 18C. Just 50 miles away, but the Bay waters are still cold so it keep air temps lower in places next to it this time of year.

Glorious spring photos, Freda. I am glad that you enjoyed your break. We are a few days behind you in blooms. My heart always does a bit of a leap to see my red tulips next to the purple primroses. And my beloved viburnum is about to bloom also. A robin has built her nest in a sheltered spot on the patio, where can watch daily progress.

It all looks wonderful Freda! I'm especially drawn to that lovely little pathway under its green tunnel... the shadow of the fence is perfect. Hasn't the weather been beautiful this month? Apart from work I've barely been indoors. I LOVE April!

I'm afraid I had to go south for the good weather. 9 degrees here tomorrow, sunny and pretty windy - and we're planning a barbecue on the beach! Are we mad? Glad you are enjoying your favourite month.
