Simply..sunshine!

Yay! Sunshine fot our family mid summer lunch yesterday, The forecast was poor so I set up a table inise, then I set up a tableoutside - jus in case.

It wasn't raining and there was enough wind to dry my tee shirt.

By the time everyone arrived it was getting warm so we set out the food buffet style inside and took our drinks and plates out intto the sunshine.

It was absolutely delightful with laughter, good conversation and delicious food!

I have such a lovely family.

I hope you had some sunsine.

I do love this get together. In recent years it has been a barbecue on the beach. The weather forecast was so poor we abandoned that idea at this time. And it was very relaxing to have it in the garden.

So pleased for you that the weather cooperated and you were able to spend relaxed time ( well once the food was prepared) with your family. Love the birch log to hold the tablecloth down, beautiful and useful. Your garden is looking lovely.

Sounds like a day to treasure. I think sometimes we are given such special days to buoy us up and carry us through the more difficult ones..
