Simply..surprised by joy....

In the studio this morning, looking at sunlight on ordinary things I felt a surge of joy and realized it is joy that makes me want to paint....and take photographs.

And share them.

I am taking another week's retreat before I begin posting daily again.

It is a name that has gone out of fashion for new babies but Joy is due for a comeback. I wonder when it first came into common use. Mind you, I suppose it might be a bit hard to live up to. I know of one late arriving and much wanted baby who was given Verity Hope Patience to bear/ sustain her through all life's trials and tribulations.

Thanks for sharing the joy! Lovely bright colours mixed in with sunlight. I've had a joyful week off work spending special moments with the family and walking in city and country landscapes. Sarah x

What bright, cheery colors! That would make me a little joyful, just being around them.
