I do love the red gate!

The paint goes by the fun name of Scooter Red.

It sings out a clear note in the beautiful landscape.

Thank you to Flor who made my day with  this lovely comment on it:-

..it has a quiet elegance but firm existence.

You will notice we have a yellow gate too....

Your Miss Minimalist post led me here and, my, I'm glad I stopped by. I love your photos, your flowers, your home, many of your thoughts...oh and the red gate. This will be a daily stop when I unwind in the evening or over a cup of coffee on Sat morning. Thanks for sharing all of the loveliness.

I think your red gate is becoming more famous by the minute - personally I like the yellow one - perfect with the flower combination.

Sadly those buttercups have not come back this year - will try again!

Your garden is looking lovely.. it must be getting close to the garden opening day. All set? You are very brave.

Hi,
wow, the gate looks beautiful with the crimson flowers in the foreground. Seeing your gate has brought me a solution for my garden which looks bland in the Winter - paint the gate! Currently when you look across the yard it looks almost empty as the dozen fruit trees have lost their leaves and blend in with the grey of the wooden fence.

That's wonderful! I wonder what colour will you choose? The red is especially cheerful in winter.

What colour is the blossom on the fruit trees? You might paint it to match!

I'm itching to paint something red now. That gate must be much imitated the world over!
