Yours had filling--no wonder it lasted so long!
Quite a mouthful!
this reminds me of an old-time commercial for Tootsie Pops...how many licks to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop? One, two, three....crunch! Just 3. (because they couldn't wait to get to the chocolate center & bit through the lollipop part)
Tootsie Pops!? How do they think them up! The names as well as the adverts,
Does this mean you had 8 attempts and that was your best time? :-) If so, I applaud your scientific approach!
Lotta you know me too well.
LOL Despite living in Switzerland, I have always had a soft spot for Cadbury‘s, but my granny loved Thornton‘s :) Not sure about your record, tho‘................ ;o
Did anyone get to ten minutes?
The things people will do in the name of research!!! (Were they gluten-free - I quite fancy that bit of 'research' myself!)
Full fat, high sugar content, gluten - everything! Hope you can give it a try and tell us how it goes Linda.
Yesterday you said that beauty sustains you, even this little arrangement of a rose and a packet of chocolates is beautiful. I really look forward to seeing each day's image; they range from chic to charming to lovely to wonderful What a 'beautiful eye' you have.
I used to love to visit a tearoom in a 16th C grey stone house. It was run by a man who had filled the room with mirrors, paintings, old china and ticking clocks. His wife was the pastry cook. To go to that place at Christmas was a rare treat. You would have loved it, Freda. I had seen the expression 'Bel 'Occhio' somewhere and wrote a little piece with that title about this man.
Oh thank you Rosemary, and I do love the sound of that place.
Yes, i think you immediately got the “essence” (pun intended!) of this exercise, freda...even with something we love, there are so many automatic reactions that set it..our minds get bored quickly, even with something we love and are enjoying..we can’t simply BE with even a chocolate, for more than a few minutes..in fact, i think i best go try this myself right this minute.
As you note the real challenge is the mindfulness part! Failed totally at that (partly because the whole thing was so ridiculous and I was laughing at myself and feeling very greedy..) Tell us how you get on Julia.
Well, the only yummy piece of chocolate that i had felt too large in my mouth the minute i put it in! So i last about 10 seconds before i had to chew it up...i swear this is the truth...:-)
