The record was 7 minutes and 41 seconds and I could still taste it after 10 minutes (but my mind was all over the place!).
for £1 Thornton's do this little pack of 8 chocolates - perfect for the chocolate mindfulness trial.

this reminds me of an old-time commercial for Tootsie Pops...how many licks to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop? One, two, three....crunch! Just 3. (because they couldn't wait to get to the chocolate center & bit through the lollipop part)

The things people will do in the name of research!!! (Were they gluten-free - I quite fancy that bit of 'research' myself!)

Full fat, high sugar content, gluten - everything! Hope you can give it a try and tell us how it goes Linda.

Yesterday you said that beauty sustains you, even this little arrangement of a rose and a packet of chocolates is beautiful. I really look forward to seeing each day's image; they range from chic to charming to lovely to wonderful What a 'beautiful eye' you have.

Yes, i think you immediately got the “essence” (pun intended!) of this exercise, freda...even with something we love, there are so many automatic reactions that set it..our minds get bored quickly, even with something we love and are enjoying..we can’t simply BE with even a chocolate, for more than a few minutes..in fact, i think i best go try this myself right this minute.

As you note the real challenge is the mindfulness part! Failed totally at that (partly because the whole thing was so ridiculous and I was laughing at myself and feeling very greedy..) Tell us how you get on Julia.

Well, the only yummy piece of chocolate that i had felt too large in my mouth the minute i put it in! So i last about 10 seconds before i had to chew it up...i swear this is the truth...:-) Leave a Reply. |
