Tulips are my New Year's Day flowers. There must be something about them and turning points...
The purity in the midst of all the decorativeness appeals.
I am worried about the unemployed power socket half way up your wall - it looks lonely - not a good time of year to be that way..........
Maybe it job shares with the one below that looks a little bowled over... :-)
Good spot Lotta - Merry Christmas x
Hmm. Yes. I don't think I will worry about it though..
White tulips - one of my favourite flowers. Looking forward to a bit more light soon but meantime enjoying the cosiness of the early darkness of an evening - it seems to make the candles burn brighter.
The 'hygge' is very enticing Viv.
Love the tulips. Looks like they are reaching out for the new year.
It's a very in-between time isn't it.
Something beautiful again, and the days lengthening, the nights getting shorter. Appreciate all that is a bonus, note all those moments when, surprised, you realise, 'I feel happy.'
So important to notice and acknowledge to yourself those happy moments!
Thank you for the reminder to make space and time, to mark these turns of the season.
(My eye immediately landed on the Amaretti biscuits and I imagined them with a good coffee with cream.)
Yes. :-) Will do.
Such a beautiful and serene reminder that simplicity sends such an elegant message. I love it..:-)
Kind of spacious amid all the Christmas stuff...Glad you like it too.
Even though, like you, I have celebrated the Winter Solstice, some years and this one is no exception the turning of the season comes a bit too soon. As if I am not ready yet.
It is autumn that I am never ready for..
Have a very happy Christmas Freda, and also everyone who comments here.
I've really enjoyed discovering your blog and am about to read it through again by category to make sure I haven't missed something vital.
I'm dying to know what your direction for next year will be!
Thank you Sue. I feel quite excited about a new year and what it might bring.
