Simply..wearing....

..myself out with all this clutter clearing! No, just kidding, but I do need a break from it for a few days. It's hard work. Trouble is I'm so thrilled with the results I can't stop.

(Life After Kondo - what will it be like I wonder?)

Am also wearing Heat Gen tights and Heat Gen long sleeved tee from M&S. Clever fabrics that really do keep me warm - I don't really understand how, but they do work. It's snowing and blowing a gale.

And the bright pink nail polish because it's fun and cheerful!

What are you wearing - your heart on your sleeve? Your Christmas sweater? A smile? A brave face?  Something new you bought in the sales....

Hi Freda,

I know what you mean -- clearing out is cathartic and so addictive and, at the same time, it's tiring too. Perhaps that is part of the catharsis.

As for what I'm wearing? I'm wearing hope that this year will bring a lighter way of being. The last few years have been heavy and somewhat,...wearing!

How are things going with the books? Were there lots of sparks of joy?

Wearing lots of layers - it's cold here in western Pennsylvania! And snow, but fortunately not as much as the East Coast has gotten.

Decluttering can be wearing mentally, I find I need time off after a while.

LOL I probably shouldn't admit it but - pyjamas?! However, I will shortly be going into uniform: a Gudrun Sjoden jersey dress and leggings, keeps me plenty warm, if necessary with a hand-knit lace scarf :)

As for the clutter clearing, I went through a couple of small drawers and the sideboard yesterday, just while waiting for things like the kettle boiling, and my giveaway pile is growing again…!! I also plucked another dress out of the wardrobe while getting dressed - love it but never wear it because it's a bit itchy so out it goes. So far there has been no real "after" because it's ongoing, but at times, it does feel grand to have less!

Grey Oska trousers from too many years back but warm and comfortable and my warmest sweater. We had thunderstorm, hail, sleet and snow so far. Looking for a very small tidying job today I gathered all my fountainpens. Do they all spark joy now?

Oska - lovely! Did they all spark joy?

Almost all did.(some I will use again before deciding) Even the one I don't write with - my husband brought it from Italy - because it is just a little bit to 'heavy' to write with easily. What does Kondo think about keeping an unused fountainpen I now wonder... and/or could I re-purpose it into something else...

Too many layers of fleece. Think I'd better go to M&S.
