My book group (thanks to Aidible I can still be part of it) has just finished Thunderclap by Laura Cummings which has made us all want to go to Amsterdam, which we may well do....

Next read is Hilary Mantel's A Memoir of my Former Self.

I, too, am reading A Memoir of My Former Self. Since it's a book of essays, it's easy to also be reading Loose Lips (Kemper Donovan), a fun frenemies murder mystery. I always enjoy hearing what others are reading.... not that my TBR list isn't long enough. lol!

Currently reading 'Cloistered' by Catherine Coldstream, about her experience over 11 years, as a nun in an enclosed Carmelite monastery.
Otherwise, I'm into Penelope Fitzgerald and Dorothy Whipple.

'Howards End is On The Landing ' is one of my favourite books and one I return to frequently. It is a pleasure to read in it's own right but a wonderful list of suggestions for future reading. When downsizing my many books a few years ago , I couldn't part with it. I rather regret having parted with some other ' old friends '.
