In the sense of creating something truly original - I think that takes a certain audacity. Would you agree?

So true! It seems to go along with a quote from Georgia O'Keefe: "To create one's world in any of the arts takes courage." Timely, too, as I visited the O'Keefe museum today in Santa Fe.

I thought about this, Freda...and what question are we trying to answer that requires courage or audacity?
For me the questions are: do i have something to say (with my art, with my writing, with my blog posts, my photography, with my yoga teaching, with my music..whatever the creative effort)..that anyone will be interested in hearing/seeing? And do i have the guts to do put myself out there? Yes, it does require courage and audacity.

:-) so now i am going to honor a dear friend of mine who died in april 2015: liz neumann....she was a wonderful artist and her wise words to me were: julia. I am only doing this for 2 reasons. I am having fun. And i love what i do.
And then she said: if there was not another person on the planet who liked what i have done, i would not care...that is audacity! We need to keep those words in mind as we create..and then even more so, as we “put ourselves out there!”...how is the editing coming, freda? (Think of LIZ!)
