..that the house was back to normal!

Actually it will be better than normal in a few days/weeks as it is being wrapped in a big thermal blanket - under the floors and under the roof and we are having to move all superfluous stuff for the work to be done.

I am determined that only a tenth of it will go back!

As the gamers say we have moved to a new level.

It will be good.

Simpler.

Pretty much the same as you Freda. The zone of destruction is getting wider and now Mike is raising the possibility that it might not be done for Christmas. Why do I even start these things??

The clouds of dust re-doing the bathroom have all but gone. I saw a toadstool with a bite taken from it and wondered who/what was so hungry it ate a piece of dirty-white toadstool with grey specks. I heard a blackbird sing and wondered if it had it's seasons all wrong. I love your prospect of simpler and am so grateful for you writing about it. So much to smile for and be happy about. I didn't wish for this, this morning but it happened just the same. Who knows what will come my way tomorrow.
