After I saw these pictures I put up my two little Christmas trees and the half Christmas tree that hangs on the porch wall - also hung the wreath on the front door. Only the massive tree to go. Oh, and the lights/tea light holders that I actually bought in the most northerly inhabited place in the world...Ny- Alesund in the Arctic Circle.

They all hold memories, don’t they. My little wooden ones were bought when we lived in Cyprus, where we had to wait Christmases! Do you have cyclamen in your porch this year?

Yes, and pink geraniums which are holding up for their 2nd/3rd year...they have been blooming continuously all that time. A great bargain from B&Q.

I set up a crib scene, building it up day by day until the 24th. The pieces are a total mixture - the main figures are a set but others are ones I picked up here and there, and there are angels that my grandmother collected in the 1960s. I love getting them out each year

That sounds lovely, and quite contemplatives, which is a nice thing to be approaching Christmas.

Forgive the errors please. I dictate my replies and the machine doesn’t always hear me..

That looks so good, Freda! I have managed, with the unexpected help from granddaughter Ella, to get my tree up and decorated, (She got a lift to York on Staurday while her friend went to the football. Perfect timing) But I still have the other areas to arrange. A treat in store. And yes I do still love doing cards. Though no longer keen on going to the PO now it is in WHS.
