I love the stump plaque, and that the site was 'established'.

I agree about the whimsical stump plaque. Bc of Covid lockdown, lots of us had too much time on our hands . Nathan used his time to have a little fun.

it is lovely isn’t it! I imagine he was about three or four years old.

I wonder what age Nathan was. I will definitely not be feeding the heron. I am told they are dangerous and can go for your eyes!

You might need to name your bird friend.

it sat perfectly still. Do they eat small birds, I wonder. They are classified as birds of prey and as dangerous!

Oh my goodness what a fabulous picture of your new friend the Heron, lucky you!!!! Sorry that you nearly got your finger nipped while offering a food treat the other day, though. With reference to the snowdrop discussion I found that really thought provoking and stimulating, although it proves I need my new glasses,(going to collect them tomorrow) as stupidly I did not realize that it was a photograph, or that the background was a window, although other commentators did! I thought it was a painting and the background a plastered wall, oops!

I am so glad you found the snowdrop thread interesting. I certainly did. If you scroll down to 18th January those photographs give you more of a context. Perhaps you missed them. I love that you thought it was a painting..

I laughed out loud at Gail’s suggestion of the name Peck for your Heron. I agree.
