I simply don't want -

more food than I can eat
more clothes than I can wear
more books than I can read
and more things than I can properly look after

Am getting there!

How about you?

I simply do want - more colourful days like today! I know it is asking for the impossible, and that we in UK are a bit obsessed with the weather, but I feel so good when I've spent the whole day outside in the sun, and like Oliver, I want more please! Sunlight definitely activates my happiness glands.

I hope you have had a colourful day......

Amazing colours! The table is especially lovely in your garden.

It was a very busy day as well a reasonably colourful day here -- the heat led me to indulge in lots of green salad, pink watermelon and purple grapes. Also an espresso ice cream sandwich (necessary to cool off in the heat, you see,...!).

I have awoken this morning to wonderful blue skies and then seen your colourful post , so hopefully the rest of the day will be full of colour too! Our children had that tent too, seeing it made me smile and bought back so many joyful memories! Just finished reading Marie Kondo' s book too very inspiring, can't wait to get started! Sarah x

Long time ago I visited the house of a friend of a friend. It was the first time I experienced simplicity having come to life. It made a deep impression. But I needed your blog and photographs to make it something I could achieve too.

There are obstacles in our apartment which make realising it fully rather difficult, one of them being the books we own, (yes I did part with many). But this week I realised the books are feeling less 'loud' now that the surroundings have quieted down quite a bit.

The 'properly looking after bit' you mentioned has made me turn (again) to Fly Lady. I think I found a strategy that would enable me to read that website without overstimulating my easily tired brain.
And I want to find a new, more satisfying and more simple routine.

It's been such fun sharing the journey with you Cath. The way I use Fly Lady is I go to Launch Pad, to that days Flight Plan and do what it says there. That's it! Done.

i love your sentiments about not wanting more than you can use, freda...i intend to print it out and post to the fridge..
or maybe turn it into a bit of art and frame it...:-)
