A nice task to get me grounded again. A delivery of bulbs which I will plant if it ever stops raining!

Taking it easy after all the exciement. And there is a lot of catching up to do on the neglected house ad garden!

I love it when people make friends through this blog. I know of two readers in the US, and two in Switzerland who met up and became friends, and althugh I had met both Mary and Grace, they had not met each other before they came to Dunoon for the exhibition.

It's wonderful.

That was a stretch (my word for the year!)

I enjoyed every minute of the private view and the company of Mary and Grace, long-time commenters here on the blog, and friends and family as well as people I had not met before from the gallery's own mailinglist. I talked my head off. My friend Ann, Mary (from Washington DC) and Grace (from Paris) had a lovely meal together after the event.

I am so touched that so many people cane, from near and so far! Thank you all, and to all the staff who made the occasion such a success.

I am starting to load images of all the paintings on my Studio page....

I've just been told THIS MORNING that the Burgh Hall and Gallery will be closed on Saturday 23rd October for a private  wedding function (must have been booked for quite some time, eh?)

Apologies to anyone planning to come that day.

I have to say it's the first, and let us hope only, glitch and the gallery staff have been brilliant...

It may take me a day or two to catch up with myself here!

Definitely not. Though the pressure is on. The exhibition opens next week.

I have been without phone and camera for 8 days. We are so used to next day delivery here in uk that I couod not believe how long it took to get sorted. What timing!

I have still to photograph all the paintings...

Simply..baby steps ....

back to health and back to basics. First cuppa, with a tiny homemade biscuit. I've not been eating much.

I was careful not to switch on to the outrage/scandal/hysteria and other media madness, but opened the bedroom window, listened to the wind and the birds and slowly sipped the tea and nibbled gently on the biscuit, savouring every crumb. So lovely! Some lightly cooked chicken and a little salad and lots of water. Some extreme self care is called for...

Any tips most welcome.

..the very very small things.

Like tiny seedlings of wnter saladseSomething I have not tried before, but feeling a bit down  (still a bit unwell) it lifted my spirits to transplant  some seedlings. We all need something to care for, whether it be people or pets or plants.

What lifts your spirits if you are low?
