More simple (or should that be simpler...)

The artist Dufy said something along the lines of 'get the mundane things of life sorted out, in order to have time for the creative things'. (I think his solution may have been to get a wife.) It is so easy for the mundane things to take up all one's time.

So simple for me is about making time to paint. Apart from actual hours of the day, I need a clear head, and simple is about uncluttering my head as much as uncluttering the space I live and work in.

I can actually get quite high on silence and empty space - I love it - ideas flow, and I can focus and work productively for long spells.

Rich and complex environments can be stimulating for some, but are distracting for me. It's knowing what works for you that counts, and then setting out to create it....
